PITA shows the Qatar Science & Technology Park the innovation of its companies

The Almerian technopolis has organized an inverse commercial mission with those in charge of the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) who have been interested in renewable energies, agriculture, agrotechnology and biotechnology

Science and Technology Park of Almería (PITA) continues to carry out actions in the area of ​​internationalization with the aim of seeking new markets for the companies that are installed, in addition to positioning the Park in countries that are referents in the world economy. Last week, the PITA organized an inverse trade mission with heads of research and development of the Qatar Science and Technology Park.

The investment director, Danny Ramadan and the director of Industry, Moza Al-Naemi from QSTP, participated in this commercial mission. During two days they had the opportunity to visit the Pitágoras building, headquarters of PITA and the Technological Center Tecnova, a benchmark in the research of the auxiliary industry of agriculture. In addition, they held a meeting with officials of the University of Almeria to learn about the main training and research pillars that are carried out in the Campus.

The director manager of PITA, Trinidad Cabeo has highlighted the progressive interest aroused by the companies that are located in the Park. “We have industries that are leaders in their sectors, which attract new projects and at the same time collaborate with the other entities that are part of our community. We have a space of cooperation that grows and that is positioning us both nationally and internationally, “Cabeo said.

The development of renewable energies led to a meeting with Ingenia Solar Energy, which has important international projects, some of them located in Saudi Arabia, Japan and Qatar, among other countries. Other companies installed in the PITA with which they met were Agrotechnology Group, manufacturers of nutrition products and plant protection; Andalusian Committee of Ecological Agriculture (CAAE), the largest European certifier specializing in organic production; Hispatec, experts in Tic solutions for the agricultural and environmental sector; Luis Andújar, specialists in tomato production with high added value; and Biorizon Biotech, a benchmark in the production of biofertilizers based on microalgae for the formulation of a wide range of solutions for agriculture.

QSTP is a hub for innovation and tech-product development in the Arab region, linked to the economic development of its country, fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem. This technopolis focuses on the promotion of companies and products linked to energy and the environment, health sciences, information technology and communication.
