Almeria, international leader in research and innovation in agriculture

Colombia is one of the countries that will receive guidance from IFAPA on intensive family farming in greenhouses.

The Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training in Andalusia (IFAPA) has become an international leader in research and innovation in agriculture and fisheries.

The work done by more than 300 researchers, who belong to this body under the Government of Andalusia, is an example for producers and researchers from around the world, who visit the experimental centers and consult with experts in areas such as organic growing and production, or irrigation systems.

Colombia is one of the countries that will receive guidance from IFAPA on intensive family farming in greenhouses. The IFAPA center La Mojonera (Almeria) has been selected by the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development, to work on an international mission with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Colombia.

Technicians of this country have gotten to known the horticultural production model of Almeria within the project Colombia Sowing. IFAPA La Mojonera has also hosted the European experts responsible for the BioGreenhouse Project, for an international training course in organic greenhouse growing.
